What is #donutultrahalf?
Hellooo Donut Fans!!
Welcome to Donut Ultra Half XI
August 1, 2025
We’re so glad that you are interested in running around NYC and eating lots of donuts.
We knew we weren’t alone...
This year’s run will be approximately 17 miles while stopping at 12 of the best donut shops in Brooklyn and Manhattan.
Sounds Painfully Delicious!! How Do I Sign up??
Step 1: Click ‘Going’ on our FB Event Page
(we make many pre-race announcements there)
Step 2: Get a shirt and decorate it!
It’s a #donutultrahalf tradition that people paint up their shirts with some sort of Donut Marathon themed insanity. The only mandatory* things that must be on the shirts are:
‘#donutultrahalf’, ‘17 Miles’, and ‘12 Donuts’
Be sure to leave some room though, because another tradition is that the lucky donut shop workers get to sign your sweat drenched shirt at each stop!
The shirt color for 2024 is… Super Bright Neon Yellow!!
The brighter the better! Doesn’t matter what style, cut or brand. The important part is what you draw on it.
*nothing is actually mandatory on the #donutultrahalf
Step 3: Download the map <---click the link
Don’t worry if it looks daunting. we have built in shortcuts/rest areas for those who may need a breather. And for those of you who want more running, we have some surprises along the way to tire you out
Step 4: Follow our ‘official’ instagram @donutultrahalf
Step 5: Meet up at PETER PAN Donut and pastry Shop in BKLN at 6:30 AM on the race day (August 4, 2023).
During
The RUN
Show up to each shop.
Get a donut.
they sign your shirt while basking in the aroma of your donut laced pheromone sweat. Feel free to stay a bit for photos and socializing (one of the best parts of the run each year)
We have runners and walkers of all paces and levels of fitness at this event. Even if we split into different groups for part of the run, we always regroup and Recharge at each stop. The average length of each running leg is under 2 miles, so we get a lot of breaks in the running
Be a buddy. If someone needs to slow it down don’t let them run alone
If you can’t complete the run, just make your way to Bouchon Bakery where you can hang out at the Columbus Circle Mall or in Central Park while you wait for everyone to finish. You may also choose to get started early at The Blind Tiger where we’re going to be meeting up for drinks and many retellings of the tales of the day to all who care to listen.
